Information transmission

General information dissemination is one the main activities carried out by the unit. The unit also contributes elaboration of the technical materials worked out by AIM members. It covers elaboration of leaflets on plant protection, application methods of insecticides, fungicides, and organic pesticides, extension aid materials such as booklets for farming population. “Servet” magazine for farmers is published monthly. Information and Marketing unit also pays special attention to follow the reforms and new changes affecting agriculture in the country.

“Servet”
is elaborated considering the interest and needs of the readers. That’s why a survey to study the opinion of the respondents on the articles published is conducted when necessary. You can get to know the advices of our agricultural extensionists and benefit the worldwide experiences by receiving separate issues of the magazine. Also implemented activities, new legal issues in agriculture, weather forecast provided by National Hydrometeorology department, market information, new medical preparations, new varieties and other relevant articles are highlighted within the issues of the magazine. The magazine is disseminated in 23 districts of our country.

Market Information.
Information and Marketing unit carries out collection and dissemination of price data on the agricultural products in the regions of the country. The activity is carried out together with Ganja Agri-Business Association (GABA) and Akinchi-UA LLC. The data cover 29 cities and districts of the region located in different parts of our republic (including Baku and Sumgayit).  The data reflect the wholesale and retail prices and average prices on 19 products in the region and as well as dynamics of average sale prices.

Public Relations.
The unit succeeded in delivery of the information elaborated on agricultural news and expert feedback throughout the target area via information agencies and other mass media.

I&M unit has good relationships with many institutions in the country and public unions dealing with agriculture and concluded a memorandum on mutual exchange of information. Relations with the advanced mass media entities in the republic, as well as information agencies have been built up and the activities are being progressed.
